Our Worship

Worship is the center of our community at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. We gather for a Communion service in Winship Chapel every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and for worship in our sanctuary at 10:45 a.m. Our worship is in the Reformed tradition. As a community, we gather to hear God’s Word read and proclaimed and to offer our prayers, praise, and offerings of beautiful music to God.  All are welcome; come worship with us!

Service Times

Our Sunday Services are at 10:45 a.m. on Sundays in the Sanctuary.  Services generally last about one hour. We hold a shorter Communion Service every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

Children in Worship

FPC has outstanding ministries for children and youth. From newborn babies to high school seniors, there is a way for everyone to connect on Sunday morning.

Infants, toddlers and young preschoolers are welcome in the Nursery-Preschool Ministry, which includes childcare provided by professional caregivers.  Older preschoolers and young elementary children (ages 3 through third grade) are welcome to participate in the first part of 10:45 a.m. worship and leave for their classes after the Children’s Moment. Older elementary children and junior and senior high youth participate in worship with their families.

Special Needs

All persons are invited to share fully in the life of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. We have personal devices for the hearing impaired, magnifying sheets for worship bulletins, seat cushions, large-print Bibles and hymnals available to worshipers.  Our facilities and restrooms are wheelchair-accessible, and there is wheelchair and companion seating reserved in our sanctuary. On Sunday mornings, we provide parking close to the building in three locations: along the curb on 16th Street, in the parking lot behind the church on Arts Center Way, and in the driveway that accesses the parking lot from Peachtree Street.  Please call 404.228.7701 for information about the specific locations of ramps and elevators. For detailed information on parking, visit Getting Here.
