Founded in 1848, First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Located at the corner of Peacthree and 16th Streets, in the heart of Midtown, we are a richly diverse congregation of 2,000 members. We come together for dynamic worship, thoughtful study, joyful fellowship, and compassionate service in the city and throughout the world.

It is our purpose as the First Presbyterian
Church of Atlanta to be and to become
A community of grace,
A people of praise and prayer,
A loving congregation
Rooted in tradition, open to the Spirit
Disciples who proclaim and serve
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
In all we say and do
To the glory of God
For the salvation of humankind
For the healing and hope of the city and
For the reconciliation and peace of the world.
Worship is the center of our community at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. We gather for a Communion service in Winship Chapel every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and for worship in our sanctuary at 10:45 a.m. Our worship is in the Reformed tradition. As a community, we gather to hear God’s Word read and proclaimed and to offer our prayers, praise, and offerings of beautiful music to God. All are welcome; come worship with us!
